What are your charges?

Our charges vary according to the type of book you wish to produce; Our most simple book has a charge of NZ$200, whereas our standard story book package costs NZ$330 for one copy of your stunning linen-bound book, which is printed in New Zealand on professional photo-quality paper. 

Our premium packages (NZ$395) offer additional product options, for example, lie-flat pages, dust jacket, presentation box, and a CD-ROM copy for sharing with distant friends and relatives, and a memorabilia pocket.  

What is included in a What's Your Story package?

Included in our fee is our interview session with you (if applicable), complimentary digitising of your photos, transcribing your interview, editing of any supplied text if necessary, artistic layout of text and pictures, and one copy of your hard-cover book. Additional copies can be ordered at a reduced rate (starting at NZ$70).  

Where do we have the interview session?

Depending on your location, we offer a mobile service so that the interview can take place at your home. Alternatively, we can interview you via video call or over the telephone.

Can I write my own words instead of being interviewed?

Of course you can - it is your story and you should tell it whichever way you want.  We are happy to help with proofreading or editing, all subject to your approval, of course.

Can I order more than one copy?

You can order as many copies as you want; we do offer a discount for subsequent copies.

Can I order another copy sometime in the future?

You can order additional copies at any future time as all storybooks are stored on a secure server.

How do I give someone a What's Your Story voucher?

You can purchase a gift voucher by calling or emailing us via our Contact page and we will organise it all for you.

How long can my story be?

Option A: A one-hour recording is sufficient to fill a 10 leaf (20-page sides) book. 

Option B: If you choose to provide your own words then aim for approximately 5 typed pages (font size 11-12).

Please try to find 10-15 of your favourite photos to include in your story.

Before your book goes to print we will check whether there is anything you wish to add or emphasise. 

What happens if I don't have any suitable photos?

We can help you with this issue so don't let it hold you back from preserving your story.  We are able to source professional stock photos that can be used to help illustrate your story.

Can you do my autobiography?

Certainly!  We can help you produce a full account of your life, however our standard package does not cover multiple in-depth interviews and the editing required for this scale of story-telling.  Contact us for a quote if you are interested in this service.

When will I receive my book?

Your book will be back from the printers approximately 2-4 weeks from the date that we have our interview with you.  If you require your book urgently please let us know.

Can more than one person contribute to the story?

Definitely.  We often conduct interviews that involve two or more people. Just make sure that you book a time for our interview that suits everybody so that they can contribute in their own words. 

Which cities do you service?

Although we are based in Auckland we are able to carry out an interview via Skype/telephone if necessary.
